DAE APPOINTS NEW MARKETING CHIEF
Dubai-UAE: 13th December, 2006 – Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), the global aerospace,
manufacturing and services corporation, has boosted its senior executive team with the appointment
of Munther Akram Juma as Senior Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communications.
Juma brings more than 15 years of experience to the role, having previously been at the Emirates
Group as Vice President – National Recruitment & Development, and before that as Director of the
Public Relations and Organisations Department at Dubai Municipality.
Since 2005, Juma has also been a member of the Corporate Planning and Strategic Transformation
team at Dubai Municipality.
He has been instrumental in building the brand of Dubai on a global stage, representing the city in
hundreds of local and international conferences. As part of this, he has initiated and participated in
the establishment of over 12 Sister City agreements between Dubai and other international cities.
In 1996, he also became a founding member, and member of the Board of Trustees, for the Dubai
International Award for Best Practices.
Juma holds a BSc in Electronic Engineering Technology from the Metropolitan State College of
Denver, Colorado, USA.
In his new role, Juma is responsible for all aspects of marketing and corporate communications for
DAE worldwide.
DAE is part of a larger vision to transform Dubai into a global centre for aviation technology,
education, research, manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul, as well as aircraft leasing
and finance activities.
